WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS. CHARLES UNIVERSITY RANKED FIRST IN THE GROUP OF EASTERN AND CENTRAL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

World University Rankings. Charles University ranked first in the group of Eastern and Central European countries

The twentieth edition of the QS World University Rankings 2024 includes 1,500 institutions from around the world and is the only ranking of its kind to focus on employability and sustainability.

The 2023 study introduces three new indicators: sustainability, employability outcomes and international research networks.

The results of the study are based on the analysis of 17.5 million research papers and the expert opinions of more than 240,000 teachers and employers.

Charles University in Prague (pictured) was ranked first in Eastern and Central Europe and 248th overall, with an overall score of 39.6 on a scale of 100.

Interestingly, the next Czech university in the world rankings is Masaryk University in Brno, with an overall score of 27.9, which puts it in 400th place.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology from the USA is in first place, followed by the University of Cambridge from England in second place and the University of Oxford, also from England, in third place.

It is also worth noting that Lomonosov Moscow State University is ranked 87th in the world with a total score of 62.2 points.

The next Russian university in the world rankings is Saint Petersburg State University in 315th place with a score of 33.4 points.
